Easy Lipstick Heart Painting

Learn how to make a quick and easy heart painting, using lipstick! All it takes is a few colors of lipstick, some paper and few other basic household items. Instructions listed below. Note: We’ve provided two heart template sizes (5×7 and 8×10). Download link at the bottom of the page.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• Lipstick (3-4 colors)
• Printable heart template
• Printer
• Two sheets of paper (heavyweight paper is preferred but you can use regular printer paper if necessary)
• Safe surface (cutting mat or board, or cardboard)
• Scotch tape
• Scissors
• Clothes iron
• Ready made frame (4×6 or 8×10)

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Print out the heart template on your own printer (download link is below).
2. Tape the printout to the cutting mat or board to keep it from moving.
3. Slowly draw over the diagonal lines with lipstick. Alternate the lighter and darker lipstick shades. (Note: The thin dotted lines will be faint, so go slowly and start at the edges of each line and work inward, as shown in the video.)
4. When finished, place on a heat resistant surface and cover with a piece of blank paper, while holding the paper in place at the edges, apply a dry iron (Important: set the iron to medium heat and Do NOT use steam). Move over the surface 3-4 times, as show in the video.
5. Remove the blank piece of paper. The lipstick should now be dry to the touch.
6. Remove your new masterpiece from the board (be careful not to rip the paper). With your scissors, cut along the outside lines.
7. Place into ready made frame.
8. Enjoy!
